The ranking and evaluation results of 115 state universities and 17 private universities in the country were announced by the Islamic World Science and Technology Monitoring Institution (ISC), with Amirkabir University of Technology ranking first among industrial universities. According to the Public Relations of Amirkabir University of Technology, the ranking and evaluation of 115 state universities and 17 private universities in the country were conducted by the ISC ranking group, and the results of this evaluation were approved in the 970th session of the Higher Education Development Council of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology. In this ranking, the general criteria for evaluating and ranking universities and higher education institutions in 6 areas are education (with a weight of 30%), research (with a weight of 25%), technology and innovation (with a weight of 20%), internationalization (with a weight of 10%), economic impact (with a weight of 10%), and social services, infrastructure, and facilities (with a weight of 5%). Based on this ranking, Amirkabir University of Technology was successful in achieving the first rank among 25 industrial universities in the country.
