According to the public relations office of Amirkabir University of Technology, quoting the communication and information center of the Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative in the universities, Dr. Sabagh Alvani, the head of the International Campus of Amirkabir University of Technology in Kish, said in this ceremony: "Considering the indicators of the third generation university and the optimal use of the capacities of university elites, as well as the admission and training of international students, especially from the countries around the Persian Gulf, and the attraction of elite Iranian volunteers residing abroad for continuing their university education with the approach of preventing the emigration of these elites and their return to the country.
Sabagh Alvani added: "Amirkabir University of Technology is fully prepared for a strong presence in the new university site with special educational and research facilities, including the establishment of reference laboratories, creating a space for academic studies for professors and university elites, short-term and open courses center, etc., at an international level according to global standards, taking into account the situation in the Kish Island Free Zone.
The head of the Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative in the universities addressed the presidents of the universities and scientific centers in Kish, stating: "Great responsibilities rest on your shoulders, and these responsibilities have abundant blessings, as you have a good opportunity in the field of guidance, teaching, training, and development of the activities of the recipients, especially the youth of this region. Therefore, the value of this opportunity and blessing must be recognized, and efforts should be made for great objectives and to identify diverse capacities, especially the scientific, educational, and international capacities of Kish Island.
He emphasized that an economic perspective on the student population is the most appropriate approach, and stressed the importance of paying attention to scientific, educational, cultural, and religious trends, stating that these are important matters for which we have a significant responsibility, and paying attention to them has a more valuable and significant impact on society.
Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Rostami stated the importance of the role of universities and practical centers, saying: "Deterrence, defensive power, hunting enemy drones, scientific advancements, achieving nanotechnology, and exporting it to advanced countries, as well as the growth of medical sciences, and any strength we see in the system, has its roots in the universities.
He considered the establishment of an innovation center in collaboration with the scientific office of the presidency in Kish and the provision of accelerator streams as important achievements and initiatives in Kish. He added, "We must bring these capacities to the forefront and introduce and demonstrate these capabilities to everyone, as most people are unaware of these developments and advancements." The head of the Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative in the universities considered the university environment as an important point and added, "The university is a great and stable asset for the country and the people to overcome difficulties by utilizing this asset.
Continuing his remarks, the head of the Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative in the universities added, "The current conditions of the country are important and sensitive compared to the era of the Sacred Defense, and what happens in the realm of semi-hard or soft wars has its own difficulties in terms of understanding the space, field, and management, and in fact, it is a war of wills.
He added, "The enemy's goal in this war is to defeat the will of the people through psychological pressure and economic sanctions. Therefore, the enemy has entered the battlefield with a triple approach based on intensifying economic sanctions, tightening the siege, semi-hard warfare, and creating insecurity and psychological pressure on the people. They spread various rumors such as darkening the future, creating despair and hopelessness in society, portraying the officials as corrupt, undermining beliefs, reducing social capital, and pushing people into the streets in an attempt to weaken the power of the system and restrict the performance of the Islamic Republic internationally.
The head of the Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative in the universities added, "In these circumstances, the enemy has planned to target and eliminate the three strengths of the people, namely belief, hope, and trust. In this regard, a considerable amount of content against the beliefs and convictions of the people is being disseminated in the media. These plans include heavy attacks aimed at undermining the confidence and trust of the people in our country's authoritative groups, including the agents of the system, the clergy, the academics, the parliamentary representatives, and the medical and health community. This sector has been one of the strengths of the Islamic system in terms of growth and progress and has shown significant activity despite the sanctions.
