Introducing a New Method for Repairing the Faults of Oil Transformers

 | Post date: 2021/06/7 |
Mohsen Gharat, a graduate of The Amirkabir University of Technology and the manager of the “Monitoring of Partial Discharge Using Fiber Optic Sensors in Oil Transformers” project said, “partial discharge is a major fault in power transforms and nowadays different methods are used to monitor it. The phenomenon leads to such problems as the failure of transformers or the disappearance of insulation features in parts of the equipment. The findings of this study can be applied in diverse areas related to the monitoring of electrical equipment.”
The project has been supervised by Dr. Gharehpetian and Dr. Hamid Latifi (faculty members of The Amirkabir University of Technology and Shahid Beheshti University, respectively).
